Sponsorship Guidelines
About Sponsorships
The Mary Black Foundation is committed to supporting our community. We welcome requests for sponsorships from organizations hosting events that align with our mission, focus, and priorities. The Foundation sets aside a small amount of approximately $20,000 annually to support a limited number of community events through sponsorship.
The Foundation will prioritize requests that align with our mission, vision, focus, and priority strategies.

Focus
The Foundation is committed to improving the health and well-being of Spartanburg County by putting children and their families at the center of everything we do. We believe that investing in young people and the adults who care for them is one of the best ways to improve health outcomes and positively impact the entire community.
Strategies
The Foundation prioritizes investments that support high-quality early life experiences because research shows they can significantly impact lifelong health outcomes. Based on input from partners, research, and health data, we are currently prioritizing investments in the five strategies listed below.

X Races including 5Ks, walks, fun runs, or color runs
X Fundraisers
X Golf tournaments
Sponsorship Process and Timeline

+ Sponsorship request deadline: At least 2 months prior to the event.
+ Sponsorship requests will be reviewed monthly by the Foundation staff.
