Free Resource for Spartanburg Nonprofit Organizations

Host your next meeting at the Foundation!

Did you know the Mary Black Foundation has a free meeting space available for Spartanburg nonprofit organizations to use? Located in the lower level of the Mary Black Foundation building, the Conference Center is designed to accommodate meetings by nonprofit organizations in Spartanburg County.

Indoor Meeting Space

The Conference Center space can accommodate up to 45 people. However, currently due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the maximum capacity of people allowed in the space will be 15.

This space features reconfigurable tables and chairs, A/V equipment such as: computer, projector, additional screens throughout the room, camera (for virtual attendees), microphone, and speakers.

Additionally, the space has a kitchen area with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.

Outdoor Meeting Space

In addition to the indoor space, the Foundation also offers use of our outdoor Plaza space for meetings and events. This space has seating to accommodate 20 people seated. However, if seating is not required, there is no maximum capacity for use of this space.

The Facilities are free when reserved during the Foundation’s regular business hours (8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday, except for holidays observed by the Foundation).  All scheduled meetings must end by 4:30 to allow for cleanup and to ensure all of your guests are out of the facility by 5:00.  Reservations for times before or after business hours, on the weekends, or during holidays will be charged a $35 per hour fee to cover off-hours security.

Examples of how nonprofit organizations use this space include:

  • Board meetings
  • Trainings
  • Retreats
  • Staff development

For more information about the meeting spaces, please visit: maryblackfoundation.org/conference-center/

If you have questions or would like to reserve the space for your next meeting or training, please contact Amy Page at [email protected] or (864) 573-9500.
