About Evans Training Center
Every 48 hours in Spartanburg County, one of our neighbors die from chemical addiction. Evans Training Center provides a residential program, Biblical counseling, and vocational training to help men commit to sober, and productive lives.
Our approach is working – 88% of ETC program graduates remain abstinent from chemicals, maintain living-wage employment and sustain stable housing. We’re seeing fathers, husbands, sons and brothers return to their families and thrive in our neighborhoods and workplaces.
These favorable behavioral health outcomes are astounding, and we couldn’t achieve them without the support of our local community. Since 2010, we’ve been able to provide free services, shelter and food to hundreds of desperate men who were ready to make a real change.
The 10-month residential program provides participants with an environment of accountability with 24/7 support and supervision. The counseling program helps participants and their families heal from the painful causes and consequences of addiction. The vocational training program teaches participants the skilled trades of professional painting and landscaping.
After participants graduate the program, they are responsibly transitioned back into the community with employment and housing support and ongoing follow up.
