Did you know many banks and federal credit unions offer grant and sponsorship opportunities?
Under the Community Reinvestment Act, banks must help meet the needs of the communities in which they do business. This translates to grant opportunities available though many bank foundations. Many have a focus on the arts, children, community health, economic mobility/poverty, education, and housing.
Nonprofits that can step outside of the box as it relates to finding additional grant opportunities can benefit from having a more diversified stream of funding that drives their mission forward. Thus, opening new doors to resources that will allow for growth while creating visibility to attract new donors and enhancing credibility. Research community partners to include local Banks that align with the mission of your organization that assist in creating positive change to the local community that you serve.
