Sponsorship Guidelines

About Sponsorships

The Mary Black Foundation is committed to supporting our community. We welcome requests for sponsorships from organizations hosting events that align with our mission and focus. The Foundation sets aside a small amount of approximately $20,000 annually to contribute to supporting a limited number of community events through sponsorship.

The Foundation will prioritize requests that align with our grantmaking focus on improving health outcomes for children and their families.

Mission

To increase opportunities for health and well-being through strategic investments in the people and communities of Spartanburg County.

Vision

Spartanburg County is a welcoming and connected community where all residents can achieve health
and well-being.

Focus

The Foundation's focus is on the health and well-being of children and families. The Foundation believes that investing in young people and the adults who care for them is one of the best ways to improve health outcomes and positively impact the entire community.

Health Equity

Health equity exists when all people have access to opportunities to thrive, both physically and mentally, and no one is limited in achieving health and well-being because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, income, or zip code.

The Foundation does not sponsor:

X Races including 5Ks, walks, fun runs, or color runs

X Fundraisers

X Golf tournaments

Sponsorship Process and Timeline

Follow the link below to complete and submit a Sponsorship Request.

+ Sponsorship request deadline: At least 2 months prior to the event.
+ Sponsorship requests will be reviewed monthly by the Foundation staff.
