Spartanburg’s Virtual Adolescent Health Conference

You are invited to the 2nd Annual Adolescent Health Conference sponsored by Connect and Spartanburg School District Consortium to Improve Adolescent Health.  Hear from experts on topics customized to Spartanburg County teens, learn about their needs, and meet the community partners who serve these youth.

2019 Adolescent Health Conference

In 2019, Connect and the Spartanburg School District Consortium to Improve Adolescent Health brought you the 1st annual Adolescent Health Conference. This professional development opportunity was a day filled with learning for those who work at schools, community organizations, in the medical field, or anyone interested in the health of adolescents in Spartanburg. The 2019 conference was attended by over 200 Spartanburg youth-serving providers!

Pivoting Due to COVID-19

Due to COVID-19, the 2020 conference has been moved virtually. While this means the conference will look and feel different than in 2019, it comes with some pretty cool pros:

  1. The event is FREE!
  2. Participants can pick and choose which workshops they would like to attend or which fit their schedule.
  3. There will be a greater variety of speakers and content.
  4. Sessions will be recorded and housed online for those who might not be able to make it to a session but would like to go back and watch.

Information about the 2020 Conference

The conference will be broken up into three days, August 11th, 12th, & 13th. Workshops will be held roughly every hour and a half from 8:30 am-3:30 pm. Please see the image below for session titles. For more information about each of these sessions, please visit: www.connectspartanburg.org/2020-workshops

Can I get continuing education credits from attending this conference?

Yes! School nurses will receive up to 5.5 contact hours of nursing CEUs for participation in sessions on August 12th. Educators will receive one re-certification point of professional development per hour of attendance for any session they attend.

For more information about certification, please contact Lucy Willms at lmwills@spart7.org.

Registration

While the 2020 conference is free, registration is required. To register, click here.
