Free Resource for Spartanburg Nonprofit Organizations
Did you know the Mary Black Foundation has free meeting spaces available for nonprofits organizations in Spartanburg County?
About the Space
Mary Black Foundation offices are located at 349 E. Main Street on downtown Spartanburg. The basement level of the building includes two meeting spaces. The larger assembly room can accommodate 30 people, depending on the chair and table configurations. This room includes a screen, projector, computer, speakers, and a podium with microphone. The smaller meeting room can accommodate up to 20 people. Use of both of these spaces also includes use of the kitchen area and coffee maker. In addition to the indoor meeting spaces, organizations using the facility can utilize the outdoor covered plaza for lunch breaks or meeting breaks.
Many nonprofit organizations have utilized this space. Examples of use include: board meetings, trainings, staff retreats, and lunch and learn sessions. Tables and chairs are provided with use of the space and can be arranged in a way that best suits the meeting.
In a 2018 survey of all organizations who utilized at least one of the meeting spaces throughout the year, 100% said they would recommend the conference center to another group.
